So I'm three quarters of the way through Assassin's Creed: Valhalla and looking for something to get my teeth into afterwards.

Any suggestions welcome. 😃

Joking aside, what have you played already, what are your genre preferences. Hard to make suggestions based off just a single game.

Mostly I like open world stuff where I can mess about at the moment.

RDR2, Assassin's Creed, GTA V. Back in the day I was fully invested in Final Fantasy 7 & 8.

I actually really enjoyed playing Motorstorm: Pacific Rift on the PS3. Although it was a bundled game, it's probably one of the PS3 games I played the most (amazing soundtrack too).

Its not entirely open world, but with levels big enough it could as well be, and if youre into making a mess, Hitman 3 sounds like a good option.

Somewhat unfairly dubbed the Japanese AC, Ghost of Tsushima also comes to mind.

And just for nostalgic reasons, Mafia Definitive Edition (although the open world of that one is somewhat lacking, but it makes up for it in its story).

If you enjoyed Final Fantasy 7 I'd highly suggest picking up the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The core story is the same however it's completely re-imagined -- although I'd suggest taking a peak at a game play video beforehand in case it doesn't look like your jam.

Open world games are abundant these days (for better or worse is open to debate). Here are a few that you should be able to snag on sale

  • Immortals Fenyx Rising -- This is another Ubisoft game and shares a lot of elements with the latest iteration of Assassins Creed
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • God of War (2018)
  • Marvel's Spider-Man

There are also the last two entries in the Assassins Creed series which play very similarly to AC: Valhalla so if you're looking for more of that in a different environment you can likely snag those on the cheap.

If you're into puzzle games I do recommend The Witness however that's not everyone's cup o' tea.

I was really looking forward to that being released and forgot all about it. Good shout!

I completed Odyssey and Origins before getting Valhalla and really enjoyed them. Valhalla seems to be lacking any real story, unlike those.

FF8 is love Nobby.

But as I played it and got addicted till the end of the dlc, i can surely go with Thiago and: Horizon Zero Dawn

My son got that for Christmas, so I'll crack on with that at some point too. I watched him play it for a bit, so got the general idea behind it.

Can't think of anything but the most obvious answer for open world games on the PS4, and that's Red Dead Redemption 2. That's as open world as it gets for this generation.

Oh and Cyberpunk 2077  Yeah not that one, it got delisted from the store for a good reason

By the way, what genres do you would like to play at all? Because all of the games that been mentioned here are AAA titles.

If you don't want the heat and action all the time, but a game that you can easily play an hour a day here and then just to relax, thats Stardew Valley.

But as well i can really suggest Terraria and Starbound.

And then there is Evoland 1 & 2. Kinda interesting and fun game to play, with very different mechanics that change within the story. Also the graphic is changing.

If you are getting bored playing like gtaV, red redemption, in other words, games that are dynamic. I was an addicted gamer, I have played tons of games and at one moment, something started to annoy me. I could not understand why, till I observed that I was in a need to take a rest from those active games. I found solitaire, at the beginning it was quite hard to understand how to win it fast, but after a few tries, it become very easy. The next game I’m going to play is the witcher4, now I have to wait for it, enjoying solitaire.

Hi buddy. I'd recommend you FIFA 2022. I had the opportunity to play it, and I enjoyed it a lot. Ball physics are great. The goalkeeper system it's on a new level of intelligence, and new attacking tactics were introduced. There is also a team with all-stars like Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Beckham, etc.
